Building your team
There are several different ways to assemble your fantasy team, depending on your league. In public leagues, any users from around the world can join and compete. Hattrick only offers public leagues, so it chooses a team for you when you sign up. You can then trade your athletes with other users in your league. Yahoo! offers public and private leagues, where the user decides who can join. This means you can create a league and play against all of your friends.

Once you've create your league, you hold a draft. This is when the users in your league decide who gets which athletes on their team. But how do you know whom to pick for your team? You can choose athletes from any professional team in the sport. Your success is determined by how well the real athletes do in the season. Choose the athletes that have the best statistics and chances are you'll win.

determine v. 決定/斷定

eg: Sally's father told her that success in life is determined by one's attitude.
eg: The test results will determine which course level you go to.
eg: The future of the company is determined by the success of their new product.

statistics n. 統計數字(複數型名詞)
eg: the statistics of unemployment 失業統計數字
eg: Statistics show that woman live happier lives than men after retirement.

league n. 聯盟
-> a group of people/team compete with one another
