Cool as a Cucumber

This vegetable has more to offer than just taste

The delicate taste of a cucumber makes it a popular addition to salads. And the sour taste of a juicy pickle suits hamburgers and hot dogs perfectly. But there is more to a cucumber than its taste. Here are some other interesting uses: Do you ever forget to polish your shoes and later realize you have an important meeting? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over your shoes for a nice shine. In addition, the shine will help keep your shoes dry, so don't worry if it rains. Do your eyes feel sore and puffy?

Cut a couple of slices of cucumber and place one on each eye. Within a few minutes, your eyes should start feeling better. Does your bathroom mirror fog up after a shower? Eliminate the fog by rubbing a slice of cucumber over your mirror. And your bathroom will smell nice too.
Do you ever burn yourself while cooking? Cut up some cucumber and mix it with water in a blender. Then put the mixture on the burn. So remember, you can do more with cucumbers than eat them!
